Overview

Fast Five App ("the App") is a social ranking platform operated by Fast Five App Incorporated ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data. It applies to the App on Apple iOS and Android, and to www.fastfive.app.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• your email address (stored securely via Firebase Authentication)
• a password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication)
• a display name you choose — your display name is visible to other users when you post public comments

Rankings

When you submit rankings, your choices and scores are stored and linked to your account. Your individual rankings are private by default. Aggregate rankings derived from all users' submissions are displayed publicly, but your individual choices are not visible to other users unless you choose to share them.

User-Generated Content

If you post public comments — including comments on rankings — those comments are visible to all users of the App and are associated with your display name.

Device Identifier

When you create or change your account, or submit content, we collect a device identifier. On iOS it is Apple's Identifier for Vendor, a random ID shared only among apps from our App Store publisher, Fast Five Products LLC, on your device. On Android it is the Android ID, a random ID unique to this app. On the website it is a random identifier stored in your browser. This device identifier is used for account integrity and audit purposes and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Automatically Collected Information

The App uses Google Firebase for authentication and data storage. While these services process data through Google's infrastructure, we have disabled Firebase Analytics and advertising features. We do not collect analytics events, crash reports, or advertising identifiers. Firebase services may process technical information such as IP addresses as part of normal infrastructure operation. Google's standard data processing terms apply to data handled by Firebase services.

On the Website

You can use the website, www.fastfive.app, without an account, or create an account and sign in there as in the App (see Account Information above). The site opens an anonymous Firebase session, and it uses Google reCAPTCHA (through Firebase App Check) to confirm that requests come from the genuine site rather than automated abuse. reCAPTCHA examines information about your browser and device and stores a small identifier in your browser, as a cookie or in site storage, for that purpose; Google processes it as our service provider, only for security and abuse prevention. The site keeps your session, your site preferences and a copy of the reference content in your browser's storage, and, once you create an account, change your display name or post a comment on the website, the identifier described under Device Identifier; clearing the site's data in your browser removes them and signs you out. The website's reCAPTCHA check is a security measure, not analytics or advertising.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the App
• To create and manage your account
• To compute and display aggregate rankings
• To send you account-related communications (e.g., email verification)
• To protect account integrity and prevent abuse
• To improve and develop new features

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with service providers that help us operate the App (e.g., Google Firebase for authentication and data storage). We may also disclose information where required by law or legal process, including reporting apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the appropriate authority in the relevant jurisdiction. Your display name and public comments are visible to other users within the App. Aggregate rankings are public, but your individual rankings are not shared unless you choose to share them. We may introduce additional sharing features in the future, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account directly within the app by navigating to your profile, tapping Account Maintenance, and then Delete Account. The process deletes your sign-on user and email address, clears your display names and profile, and replaces the text of the comments and messages you wrote with a placeholder. It also deletes the private topics and items you created, along with every ranking on them; deletes the public topics and items you created that no one else has ranked; and zeroes your remaining rankings, so they no longer count toward any topic's current global ranks. Other records may be kept in de-identified form. You may also request deletion by contacting us at the email address below. We may retain limited records beyond account deletion where we are required to do so by law, including records preserved in connection with child-safety obligations.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it. As described under Data Retention and Deletion, we may retain limited records where we are required to do so by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date.
